11、lied in the form of full-width rolls, sheets or tapes slit to various widths. The series includes three parts describing: 1) Definitions and general requirements; 2) Methods of test; 3) Specifications for individual materials. SHEET 1 Requirements for varnished fabrics, oleoresinous varnish cotton b
12、ase, OR/C 1 General requirements The material shall conform to the requirements published in Part1 1)of this standard. The numbering of the following clauses corresponds with that of the clauses of Part2 2)of this standard. 3 Resistance against hydrolysis The application of this requirement is the s
13、ubject of prior agreement between purchaser and supplier, depending on the purpose for which the material is intended. When tested according to the method published in Part2, the material shall show no failure after24h. 4 Effect of fabric on oil The application of this requirement is the subject of
14、prior agreement between purchaser and supplier, depending on the purpose for which the material is intended. When tested according to the method published inPart2, the acid number shall be not greater than1.0. 5 Effect of oil on varnished fabric The application of this requirement is the subject of
15、prior agreement between purchaser and supplier, depending on the purpose for which the material is intended. When tested according to the method published in Part2, no failures shall occur. 6 Tensile strength and elongation When tested according to the method published in Part2, the tensile strength
16、 of the material shall be not less than the values given inTable I. The requirements for the stresses giving an elongation of6% or10% shall be the subject of agreement between purchaser and supplier. The elongation at break of the material when determined according to the method published in Part2 s
17、hall be not less than the values given inTable II. 7 Internal tearing resistance The internal tearing strength of the material as received, when determined according to the method published in Part2, shall be not less than the values given inTable III (under consideration). When determined according
18、 to the method published in Part2, the tearing resistance of the material after heating in air at an oven temperature of105 C shall show a decrease between the values after 1h and after48h not exceeding25% of the value after1h. 8 Edge tearing resistance This requirement shall be the subject of a pri
19、or agreement between purchaser and supplier. 9 Electric strength 9.3.1 Electric strength at room temperature When tested according to the method published in Part2, the electric strength at room temperature shall be not less than the values given inTable IV. 9.3.2 Electric strength at 105 C When tes
