8、ion of the General Mechanical Engineering Standards Policy Committee and is identical with ISO4783-2:1989 “Industrial wire screens and woven wire cloth Guide to the choice of aperture size and wire diameter combinations Part2: Preferred combinations for woven wire cloth”, published by the Internatio

9、nal Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO4783-2 was prepared by Technical Committee24 of ISO and the UK took an active part in its preparation. ISO4783-2:1989 (the second edition) superseded ISO4783-2:1981 (the first edition) and constituted a minor revision of it. BS7372 consists of the follo

10、wing parts: Part 1: General; Part 2: Preferred combinations for woven wire cloth. These two Parts supersede BS481-1:1971, which is withdrawn. When ISO4783-3:1981 “Preferred combinations for pre-crimped or pressure-welded wire screens” has been revised it will be considered for implementation as a Br

11、itish Standard to supersede BS481-2:1983. Related British Standards to ISO2194:1972 are BS410:1986 “Specification for test sieves” and BS481 “Specification for industrial wire mesh” Part2:1972 “High tensile steel wire mesh with square apertures from125mm to2mm”. There is no British Standard correspo

12、nding to ISO4782. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. This will be indicated in the amendment table on the inside front cover.BS7372-2:1991 BSI 10-1999 1 1 Scope This part of ISO4783 tabulates preferred combinations of aperture size and wire diameter for industrial woven wire cloth which are

15、 taken from the general list of aperture/wire combinations given in ISO4783-1. It applies to woven wire cloth of aperture size from16mm to0,02mm. NOTEThis is the first International Standard on woven wire cloth for industrial purposes; these specifications are a compromise which takes account of exi

16、sting national standards. ISO Member Bodies are earnestly requested to rationalize further in order to reduce the number of wire diameters per aperture width within the next five years without excluding the option of increasing the number of preferred apertures. ISO4783-3 gives the preferred combina

17、tions for pre-crimped or pressure-welded wire screens. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part of ISO4783. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to r

18、evision, and parties to agreements based on this part of ISO4783 are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards listed below. 20、ens and woven wire cloth. 3 Designation Woven wire cloth for industrial purposes shall be designated in the following sequence by a) width of aperture w; b) diameter of wire d; c) material of wire; d) type of weave (see Figure 2). 4 Aperture size and wire diameter combinations Table 1 lists the pref

21、erred combinations of aperture size and wire diameter for woven wire cloth and states the open area A oand the mass per square metre, A , for each combination.
