Such a declaration is not to be confused with third party certification of conformity, which may also be desir
、able.BS7383:1990 4 BSI 12-1999 Appendix A Guidance on pouring and curing times The mixed compound should pour easily at temperatures of the order of20 C. At low temperatures, e.g.down to5 C, the compound is more viscous and may not pour as readily, but the curing time will be extended due to the low
、er temperatures, thus allowing a longer pouring period. At the higher temperatures, the converse applies. To prevent voids or layering of compound occurring during multi-kit usage, the manufacturers instructions on mixing and pouring should be adhered to strictly. To obtain near optimum mixing and p
、ouring conditions, the kits, prior to use, should be at a temperature of20 2 C. If the temperature at the mixing and pouring site is less than10 C or greater than30 C, the kit should not be taken to the site until ready for use. Appendix B Minimum information to be provided by the manufacturer on da
、ta sheets When required, the manufacturer is to provide data sheets containing at least the following information and including test methods if not given in this standard: a) the shelf life; b) the mix ratio of the constituent parts; c) the appearance of the constituent parts, e.g.colour; d) the ful
、l cure time; e) the maximum exothermic temperature; f) the volume shrinkage during cure; g) the water absorption; h) the volume resistivity; i) the thermal conductivity; j) the electrical strength of the resin after7days; k) the oxygen index. Appendix C Flammability test C.1 Apparatus C.1.1 Spirit burner, complying with the constructional requirements of section2 of BS5865:1980.
