It is identical with ISO/TR7621 “Rubber or plastics covered rollers Enquiries and orders Recommendations for technical information to be supplied by purchaser”, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). As roller coverings are required to serve an extremel
8、y wide variety of end-uses in a number of different industries, from manufacturing textiles to food processing, it is most important that the roller covering manufacturer and the roller coverer have all the information necessary to formulate the most appropriate polymer and roller covering finish. T
9、his Part of BS7442 is intended to assist in achieving this. Cross-references The Technical Committee has reviewed the provisions of ISO6123-1, ISO6123-2 and ISO6123-3 to which reference is made in the text and decided that they are acceptable for use in conjunction with this standard. NOTEIt is inte

A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a Britis

This will be indicated in the amendment table on the inside front cover.BS7442-2:1991 BSI 09-1999 1 0 Introduction This Technical Report specifies the essential information required by the roller covering manufacturer. Covered rollers are cylindrical cores, usually made of metal upon which
13、a covering of rubber or plastics is bonded. The covering specification is made for a particular application. The rollers are made in a wide variety of sizes and the covering will vary in hardness, type of material and surface treatment depending upon their intended use. The function of the roller to
14、gether with the conditions under which it has to operate, determine its size and structure as well as the physical and chemical properties of the covering material. This document lists most of the essential information required to establish the most serviceable and durable roller covering. It should
15、 serve as a basis for questionnaires to be completed by a roller customer in connection with an enquiry or order. Not all questions are pertinent to every roller application. Only questions relevant to the application need be answered. Different industries would ideally require individual compilatio
16、ns. Roller manufacturers have or may elaborate from the items below different lists of queries for different industries or types of machinery. NOTEIf different terms are applied in English and American usage, both terms are given, in the format Englishterm/American term. 1 Scope and field of applica
