2、andards Committee gives the specific rules for the preparation of detail specifications for single turn low power rotary potentiometers of assessed quality and should be read in conjunction with Section2 of BS9130 “Potentiometers of assessed quality: Generic data and methods of test”. It has been is

3、sued in the United Kingdom, where it is urgently required but if a similar procedure is adopted in other countries changes will be considered for the purposes of harmonization. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are r

7、eparation of detail specifications for single turn low power rotary potentiometers of assessed quality. 2 Dimensions and outline drawings 2.1 The spindle and bush dimensions shall preferably be chosen from BS9130. 2.2 Where possible, gauging dimensions shall be indicated upon the outline drawing on

8、the front cover of the detail specification and shall normally comprise the following: 1) Depth from mounting face. 2) Diameter. 3) Fixing dimensions. 4) Location of terminations. 5) Spindle and bush dimensions. 2.3 The detail specification shall contain an appendix giving the drawing of the potenti

9、ometer with full detail dimensions, where it is not feasible to give this information on the front cover. It shall also identify the normal mounting means. 3 Ratings and characteristics (see1.1.12 and2.1.5 of BS9130) 3.1 The standard values of ratings and characteristics shall be selected in accorda

10、nce with1.1.12 of BS9130, except that the values of rated dissipation shall be limited to10W and below. 3.2 A statement of derating or a derating curve shall be given and shall be as shown in2.1.5.2 of BS9130. 3.3 The preferred rating for rotary switches attached to potentiometers is1A,250V a.c.,40H

11、z to60Hz. 4 Drying When drying is required, the detail specification shall call for ProcedureI of1.2.4.1 of BS9130. 5 Ordering information The detail specification shall require that the information listed in1.1.15 of BS9130 shall be given when potentiometers are ordered to the specification. 6 Insp

12、ection Requirements (see2.2 of BS9130) 6.1 Where a subgroup contains more than one test, the tests shall be carried out in the order given in the schedule. 6.2 Samples submitted to tests which are marked as “(D)” shall not be accepted for release under BS9000 (see2.6.5 of BS9000-1). 6.3 The schedule

13、 below shall be applicable to each individual style in the full assessment class.
