It is identical with CENELEC Electronic Components Committee (CECC) 41100 “Sectional specification: Lead screw actuated and rotary preset potentiometers”, and Amendment No. 1 (1986)
8、. This standard is a harmonized specification within the CECC system. Terminology and conventions. The text of the CECC specification has been approved as suitable for publication, without deviation, as a British Standard. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in
9、 British Standards; attention is especially drawn to the following. The comma has been used throughout as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the baseline as the decimal marker. Cross-references. The British Standard harmonized with CECC00100 is BSE90

23、m for electronic components of assessed quality. The object of the System is to facilitate international trade by the harmonization of the specifications and quality assessment procedures for electronic components, and by the grant of an internationally recognized Mark, or Certificate, of Conformity
24、. The components produced under the System are thereby accepted by all member countries without further testing. This document has been formally approved by the CECC, and has been prepared for those member countries taking part in the System who wish to issue national harmonized specifications for L
25、EAD SCREW ACTUATED AND ROTARY PRESET POTENTIOMETERS. It should be read in conjunction with document CECC 00100: Basic Rules (1974). 29、ed values for characteristics and ratings and also the inspection requirements for lead screw actuated and rotary preset potentiometers of assessed quality. It selects from the generic specification, CECC41000, the appropriate methods of test to be used in detail specifications derived from this doc
30、ument. Associated with this document are one or more blank detail specifications each referenced by a CECCnumber. A blank detail specification which has been completed as specified in 2.5 of this document forms a detail specification. Such detail specifications may be used for the granting of Qualif
31、ication Approval to a potentiometer and for the performance of Quality Conformance Inspection in accordance with the CECCSystem. Section 2. Preferred characteristics ratings and severities for environmentaltests 2.1 Characteristics The values given in detail specifications shall preferably be select
32、ed from the following: 2.1.1 Climatic severities The potentiometers covered by this document are classified into climatic categories according to the general rules given in the Appendix to IEC68-1. The standard severities for the cold, dry heat and damp heat steady state tests are within the followi
33、ng ranges: Values selected within these ranges shall be chosen from those listed in the relevant tests of IEC68-2. The severities for the cold and dry heat tests are the lower and upper category temperatures respectively. For some potentiometers, these temperatures will occur between two of the pref
34、erred temperatures given in IEC68-2. In this case, the nearest preferred temperature within the category temperature range of the potentiometer shall be chosen for this severity. 2.1.2 Temperature characteristics and temperature coefficients of resistance The limits of change in resistance for the p
35、referred temperature characteristic of resistance are given inTable 1. Each line in the table gives the temperature coefficient and corresponding temperature characteristic for20 to 70 C and limits of change in resistance for the measurement of temperature characteristic of resistance (4.14 of CECC4
36、1000) on the basis of the category temperature ranges of2.1.1 of this document. Different portions of the resistance range may be covered by different temperature characteristics (orcoefficients) of resistance although they appear in a single detail specification. If measurements at additional tempe
37、ratures are required, they shall be called for in the detail specification. 42、 table are as indicated in the lines of the table. NOTEThe paragraph numbers in the heading of the table refer to CECC 41000. 2.1.4 Limits for insulation resistance The preferred limits for insulation resistance shall be 1G 7 minimum or, after humidity tests, 100M7. 2.1.5 Total mechanical travel The
43、 preferred values shall be: 1) For lead-screw actuated preset potentiometers: 4, 15, 22 and 30 turns. 2) For single turn rotary preset potentiometers: The angle shall be specified in the detail specification. 2.1.6 Limit for contact resistance (if prescribed in the detail specification) The maximum
44、contact resistance, as measured in D.1.3 of BS CECC41000 if prescribed in the detail specification, shall be specified as a percentage of the rated resistance. 2.2 Ratings The values given in detail specifications shall preferably be selected from the following: 2.2.1 Rated resistance See 2.3.2 of C
