The UK voted against the draft of EN 1362 : 1997 on the basis that Technical Committe
10、e IST/17 could foresee no practical application for the standard. However, the terms of the UKs membership in CEN require BSI to publish this standard. 24、onal interfaces between devices and machine readable cards, as well as other interfaces only to the extent that they are related to the processing of the machine readable card. It specifies the characteristics of each particular interface, and provides the means, through the use of bitmap coding, of
25、 readily identifying the capabilities of devices in order to ensure the compatibility between specific devices and cards.
