22、completestandardorpartofastandardandpractical performancetestshavebeencarriedoutsuccessfullyoncompleteapparatuswherespecifiedintheappropriate standard.Ifforanyreasonacompleteapparatusisnottestedthensimulationoftheapparatusispermitted providedtherespiratorycharacteristicsandmassdistributionaresimilar

30、testsalltestsamplesshallmeettherequirements. 6.2Ergonomics Therequirementsofthisstandardareintendedtotakeaccountoftheinteractionbetweenthewearer,the mouthpieceassembly,andwherepossible,theworkingenvironmentinwhichthemouthpieceassemblyislikelyto beused.SeeannexZA. 6.3Design Thedesignofthemouthpieceas

31、semblyshallbesuchastoallowitsinspectioninaccordancewiththe manufacturersinstructions. Themouthpieceassemblyshallbesufficientlyrobusttowithstandtheroughusageitislikelytoreceiveinservice. Themouthpieceassemblyshallbedesignedsothattherearenoprotrudingpartsorsharpedgeslikelytobe caughtonprojectionsinnar

32、rowpassages. Thesurfaceofanypartofthemouthpieceassemblylikelytobeincontactwiththewearershallbefreefromsharp edgesandburrs. Themouthpieceassemblyshallbedesignedtoensureitsfullfunctioninanyorientation. Themouthpieceshallbesodesignedthatinwardleakagebetweenlipsandmouthpieceisnegligible. Themouthpiecesh

33、allbesodesignedthattheairflowisnotrestrictedunintentionallywhenthemouthpiceassembly isbeingworn. Testingshallbedoneinaccordancewith7.3and7.13. 6.4Materials Allmaterialsusedintheconstructionshallhaveadequatemechanicalstrength. Exposedparts,i.e.thosewhichmaybesubjectedtoimpactduringuseoftheapparatussh

34、allnotbemadeof aluminium,magnesium,titaniumoralloyscontainingsuchproportionsofthesemetalsaswill,onimpact,giverise tofrictionalsparkscapableofignitingflammablegasmixtures. Materialswhichcomeintodirectcontactwiththewearersskinshallnotbeknowntobelikelytocauseirritationor anyotheradverseeffecttohealth.E

Testingshallbedoneinaccordancewith7.3and7.13. 6.6Resistancetotemperature Followingtheconditioninginaccorda

36、ncewith7.4andafterbeingallowedtoreturntoambienttemperaturethe mouthpieceassemblyshallshownoappreciabledeformationandanyincorporatedthreadedconnectorto EN1481orEN1482shallbegaugedandshallcomplywiththeappropriatestandard. Testingshallbedoneinaccordancewith7.3. 6.7Flammability Partsofthemouthpieceassem

37、blythatmightbeexposedtoaflameduringuseshallnotburnorcontinuetoburn formorethan5safterremovalfromtheflame. Testingshallbedoneinaccordancewith7.3and7.5. 6.8Demountableparts Alldemountableconnectionsshallbereadilyconnectedandsecured,wherepossiblebyhand.Anymeansof sealingusedshallberetainedinpositionwhe
