36、nd screening.Thewatercontentofthesampleusedforleachingshallbedeterminedonaparallelsamplebydryingat 110C inaccordancewithEN10975. ReducethesizeofthelaboratorysampleinaccordancewiththeproceduresspecifiedinEN9322togiveatest portionwithamassofabout2kgandweighthetestportiontothenearest0,1g.Forlightweight

37、aggregates,the massofthetestportionshallbereducedinproportiontothedensityoftheaggregate.Itmayalsobenecessaryto increasetheliquid/solidratioin9.2inorderthatalightweightaggregatetestportioniscoveredwithwater. NOTE1 Contaminationofthesamplecanoccurtoanextent,whichaffectstheleachingofsomeconstituentsofc

38、oncern,for examplefromtungstencarbideequipmentorstainlesssteelapparatus.Careshouldbetakentoensurethatsuch contaminationofsamplesisminimised. NOTE2 Inthecaseoflightweightaggregateswithabulkdensitylessthan200kg/m 3 (0,2Mg/m 3 ),themassofthesample shouldbereducedto500g. 9Procedure 9.1Testing conditions

39、 Theleachingshallbecarriedoutatroomtemperature(20Cto25C) 9.2 Testprocedure Afterfillingthetankwithamassofleachantequalto10timesthedrymassofthetestportion,placethe appropriatescreenintothetankinsuchawaythatitiscompletelycoveredwithwater.Slowlydistributethetest portion,whichistoundergoleaching,uniform

40、lyoverthescreensothatasmuchairaspossibleisremovedfrom thetestportion.Whenthetestportionisarrangedonthescreen,thewatercovershallbeatleastat20mm.Then lowerthescreensupporttothebottomofthetank.Placethescreeninsertintheleachingtankinsuchawaythata uniformdistancefromthewallsofthevesselismaintained.
