21、t trolleys, fitted with a baby and/or child carrying facility(ies) for use by customers of self service stores to carry goods. This document applies to basket trolleys conforming to EN 1929-1 with the following arrangements: One baby carrying facility; Two baby carrying facilities; One baby carrying
22、 facility, one child carrying facility; Two child carrying facilities. This document applies to manually driven trolleys that are not intended for use on passenger conveyors. The technical characteristics of accessories (see 3.8 of EN 1929-1:1998) are not covered by this document. 2 Normative refere

32、omprising either a crotch strap, waist strap and shoulder straps, or straps that pass over the childs shoulders and between the childs legs 3.4 parking device device to hold the vehicle (trolley) in a stationary position 4 Requirements 4.1 Basket trolley with baby and/or child carrying facility(ies)
33、 4.1.1 The general requirements are specified in EN 1929-1. Additionally the following requirements shall apply. 4.1.2 Fastening of the baby and child carrying facility The means of fastening the baby and child carrying facility shall comply with the requirements of 4.8, 4.9 and 8.2 of EN 71-1:1998.
34、 The fastening shall be durable. This requirement is regarded as met, when the testing according to 5.4 is passed. The connection between the trolley and the baby and/or child carrying facilities shall not be removable without the use of tools. 4.1.3 Position of the baby carrying facility The baby c
35、arrying facility shall meet the requirements of 5.3 (including Figure 5). 4.1.4 Integral harness/Waist strap Each part of the trolley designed to be occupied by a baby or child shall be fitted with the appropriate adjustable restraint system. All straps of the restraint systems shall have a minimum
36、width of 20 mm.EN 1929-7:2005 (E) 9 Each baby carrying facility shall be equipped with an integral harness to restrain the baby (see 3.3.4). In case of a basket trolley being equipped with two child carrying facilities or with one child carrying facility and one baby carrying facility, each child ca
37、rrying facility shall be equipped with a waist belt (see 3.3.3). When tested in accordance with 5.6, the anchoring points and fastening systems of each integral harness and each waist belt shall not break, become loose or tear away from their support. 4.1.5 Nesting of the trolleys into each other Wh
38、en nesting a trolley equipped with a baby carrying facility into another trolley, either, there shall be an indication, that the baby(s) shall be lifted out of the baby carrying facility before nesting the trolley. Or alternatively, the baby carrying facility of the trolley being pushed forward into
39、 another, shall stay immovably fixed in its position within its trolley throughout the nesting process. 4.1.6 Toys used in conjunction with the trolley Any toy used in conjunction with the trolley shall comply with the requirements of EN 71-1. 4.2 Stability The trolley shall be stable in the longitu
40、dinal and transverse direction. This requirement is regarded as met, when the testing according to 5.2 is passed. 4.3 Parking device Basket trolleys of type AKK, BK and BB shall be equipped with at least one parking device. NOTE The parking device is needed for the safety of the unattended second ch
41、ild when the first child is placed into or lifted out of the trolley. Efficiency of the parking device is regarded as met when the test of 5.5 is passed. 5 Test 5.1 General In addition to the tests of EN 1929-1 the complete basket trolley shall comply with the tests specified under 5.2 to 5.5. The t
42、ests shall be carried out on new trolleys. All tests must be carried out at room temperature. The baby and child carrying facility(ies) shall comply with the tests specified under 4.8, 4.9 and 8.2 of EN 71- 1:1998. 5.2 Stability test NOTE The stability test is equivalent to 5.4 of EN 1929-1:1998. Th
43、e load simulating the child and the test device are the same as indicated in 5.4 of EN 1929-1:1998. The load simulating the baby shall be a 12 kg steel cylinder having a diameter of 120 mm and a height of approximately 135 mm. EN 1929-7:2005 (E) 10 The test cylinder shall be positioned in the median
44、 plane of the baby carrying facility with its longitudinal axis orthogonal to the longitudinal plane of the baby carrying facility. The trolley shall be on a horizontal surface so that the test cylinder can find its final position. The test cylinder shall be secured in this position. The test is con
45、ducted in the same way as described in 5.4 of EN 1929-1:1998. The arrangement and number of loads for the test in the longitudinal and lateral direction shall be taken from Table 1. 49、sting equipment shall be used. This testing equipment consists of a large board having the dimensions of 200 mm x 120 mm x 5 mm and a small board having the dimensions of 50 mm x 120 mm x 5 mm. At their upper surface the boards are connected by a hinge in such a way that the testing equipment has a length of 250 mm in stretched condition. The lowest point of the lying flat shall be determined in an appropriate way, for example by use of a little
