Cadmium has been restricted and/or banned in manycountries owing to environmental and health concerns and should not beused on new product designs. Users of retaining rings that require parts witha surface tr

3、eatment that is corrosion resistant should raise their own in-houseretaining ring specification directing the retaining ring manufacturer to makethe rings to BS EN 3385:2012 in form but with a surface treatment to a specification provided by the user.Health and safety officials such as surface treat

4、ment experts serving aero-space equipment service areas or aerospace product design areas should beconsulted about any concerns on using cadmium-plated parts.The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical CommitteeACE/12, Aerospace fasteners and fastening systems.A list of organi
