29、hallallowthealignmentofthetestspecimenaxiswiththedirectionoftheload.Care shallbetakentomaintainproperalignmentofthetestspecimenduringloadingandtoavoidbucklingofthetest specimen. Twotechniquesarepossible: compressionbetweenplatenswithoutaguide; compressionbetweenplatenswithaguidingtool. Inbothcases,c

30、ompressionplatensareconnectedtotheloadcellandonthemovingcrosshead.Theparallelismof theseplatensshallbebetterthan0,01mmintheloadingareaandtheyshallbeperpendiculartotheloaddirection. NOTE1 Acompliantinterlayermaterialbetweenthetestspecimenandplatenscanbeusedfortestingmacroscopically inhomogeneousmater
