15、lectronic Components Committee (CECC) is composed of those member countries of the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) who wish to take part in a harmonized System for electronic components of assessed quality. The object of the System is to facilitate international tra

16、de by the harmonization of the specifications and quality assessment procedures for electronic components, and by the grant of an internationally recognized Mark, or Certificate, of Conformity. The components produced under the System are thereby acceptable in all member countries without further te

17、sting. This European Standard was prepared by CECC WG22, “RF Connectors”. The text of the draft based on document CECC22130 Issue1:1994 (with A1 to A3) was submitted to the formal vote for conversion to a European Standard; together with the voting report, circulated as document CECC(Secretariat)333

18、9, it was approved by CECCas EN122130 on7May1993. The following dates were fixed: This specification has been formally approved by the CECC and has been prepared for those countries taking part in the System who wish to issue national harmonized specifications for RADIO FREQUENCY COAXIAL CONNECTORS

19、AND ACCESSORIES SERIES SMB. It should be read in conjunction with the current regulations for the CECC System. Preface This sectional specification (SS) was prepared by CECC Working Group 22: R.F. Connectors. It is based, wherever possible, on the Publications of the International Electrotechnical C

20、ommission and in particular on IEC169-10 Radio-frequency connectors, Part10: R.F. coaxial connectors with inner diameter of outer conductor3mm(0,12in) with snap-on coupling Characteristic impedance507 (Type SMB). Technical deviations from IEC169-10 are indicated by vertical lines. This SS and its as

21、sociated blank detail specification(s) (BDS) are specific to Series SMB radio frequency connectors and their related accessories. The text of this specification was circulated to the CECC for voting in the documents listed below and was ratified by the President of the CECC for printing as a CECC sp

22、ecification: Series SMB connectors have a characteristic impedance of507 and are normally used for low power applications, in conjunction with flexible coaxial cables having a dielectric diameter of0,86 to1,6mm. The connectors are usable up to a frequency of at least4GHz, and may be used at higher f

Scope This sectional specification (SS) provides information and rules for the preparation of detail specifications (DS) for miniature snap-on coaxial connectors Series SMB. It prescribes mating-face dimensions

30、for general purpose connectors, dimensional details for standard test connectors, Grade0, together with gauging information and the mandatory tests, selected from CECC22000, applicable to all DS relating to Series SMB connectors. This specification indicates the recommended performance characteristi

33、 be inserted once only into the female centre contact. This is a sizing operation. After this, Gauge B shall be inserted into the female centre contact. The contact shall support the mass of the gauge suspended in a vertical attitude. Additional test Following the sizing operation, and if prescribed

34、 in the DS, the force necessary to insert Gauge A fully into the female centre contact shall be measured. When this test is required, the maximum permitted insertion force shall then be specified and shall not exceed11N. Notes: (for information only) Gauge A is used for qualification approval tests
