Additional information Attention is drawn to the fact that in this standard the entry bore is specified at approximately 3 mm below the top of the c

7、ork mouth finish (see 5.1) and the minimum through bore is specified as 17,5 mm (see 5.7). There is also an additional bore at 45 mm below the top of the cork mouth finish (see Figure 1). Insufficient or inappropriate packaging can lead to damage or wastage of

20、 the contents of the pack. 1 Scope This European Standard specifies the dimensions of a cork mouth finish for corks and capsules for glass bottles, for wine that has a carbonation pressure not exceeding 1,2 g CO 2 /l, for use with natural corks. 2 Normative References This European Standard incorpor

23、3 Cylindrical cork stoppers Dimensional characteristics, sampling, packaging and marking 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this standard, the following term and definition apply: 3.1 Through bore Through bore of a bottle is the maximum diameter of a round rod able to penetrate vertically i

24、nto the body of the bottle. 4 Dimensions 4.1 The dimension of the finish shall be as shown in Figure 1. 4.2 Details which are not specified shall be selected in accordance with the application. For linear and angular dimensions, see EN 22768-1. Detail X see Figure 2. 4.3 Since the performance of an

25、appropriate packaging depends on the combination of several parameters, the nominal dimensions of the cork stoppers to be used with this finish design shall be in accordance with ISO 3863. NOTE: Experience shows that because of the several parameters involved advice should be taken from cork supplie
