The connection consists of a quick-r

20、elease coupling ensuring an easy and safe fitting and a safe transfer of diesel oil. The connection for the transfer of diesel oil on inland navigation vessels is generally designed for pressure from outside the vessel. 1 Scope This European Standard specifies the design, dimensions, technical requi

21、rements and testing of connections for the transfer of diesel oil on inland navigation vessels. It does not apply to the filling of cargo tanks. The standard specifies: a connection of a design that is common on inland navigation vessels consisting of a threaded pipe and a quick-release coupling; a

22、connection for vessels with deck screw caps (internal thread according to ISO 228-1) consisting of an adaptor with threaded pipe and a quick-release coupling. The standard does not cover the necessary measures for the prevention of electrostatic charging and overfilling. 2 Normative references This

30、ions and arrangement of connections. 4.2 Design The position of the connection, the dimensions and specifications of clauses 4 to 8 shall be maintained. Figure 1 shows the connection from the filling pipe fixed in the vessel to the quick-release coupling at the filling hose (type 1). Figures 2 and 3

31、 show the connection from each deck screw cap with adaptor (type 2) to the quick-release coupling at the filling hose, where Figure 2 shows the adaptor (type 2) with a nominal size conforming to 4.3 for pipe threads ISO 228-G2A and Figure 3 shows the adaptor (type 2) with reduction for pipe threads

32、at the deck screw cap deviating from the quick-release coupling conforming to 4.3. Table 1 specifies the dimensions for threaded pipe connections of nominal size conforming to 4.3 for position numbers 1 and 2 in Figures 1 to 3. 40、A 88,9 24 100 ISO 228-G4A 114,3 25 4.3 Dimensions The nominal size DN of the quick-release coupling is 50 mm, 80 mm or 100 mm, see Table 1. 4.4 Arrangement of connections type 1 4.4.1 Access to the coupling shall be ensured. The arrangement shall allow for the easy connection of a hose having a bend

41、ing radius of approximately 1 000 mm. 4.4.2 The coupling connection (position 2) shall be fastened to the pipe (position 1) to enable an easy mounting and safe interlock of the single lever coupling on the filling hose at the supplying side even if the connection is installed in a covered position.

42、There shall be sufficient free space for the operation of the single lever coupling and the filling valve, where applicable. 4.4.3 The connection shall be installed in a protected position so that no damage can occur in normal use and that it does not obstruct an adjacent walkway, where applicable.P
