27、rsandhotwatergeneratorsarevesselsandpipeworksystemsinwhich: steamatapressurehigherthanatmosphericpressureisgeneratedforuseexternaltothesystem; waterisheatedtoatemperaturehigherthanthesaturationtemperatureatatmosphericpressureforuseex ternaltothesystem. Asteamgeneratornormallyconsistsofthefluegasheat

Thetermdirectfiredrelatestoequipmentbymeansofwhichthechemicalheatinthefuelofknowncompositionis convertedtosensibleheat.Suchequipmentcaninvolvestokerfiring,fluidizedbedcombustionor

Theauxiliariesincludethefuelfeeders,thepulverizer,theFD(forceddraught)fan,theID(induceddraught)fan,the facilitiesforremovaloftherefuse(combustionresidues),thesteamairheater,themainairheater,thefuelheater,if any,andthedustcollector. Thisstandarddoesnotcover: unitsfiredwithspecialfuels(

Thisstandardcanbeappliedbyanalogytotheacceptancetestingof: indirectfiredunits(e.g.wasteheatboilers); unitsoperatedusingotherheatcarriers(e.g.gases,thermaloils,sodium).
