Whereapplicable,thecharacteristicsofthecompletecoatingsystem,includingmethod(s)ofapplication,colourand opacity,shouldpreferablybeagreedbetweensupplier,specifier,app

34、licatorandcustomer.Requirementsfor substratepreparationshallalsobespecifiedandobserved. Coatingthicknessandtexturearesubjecttothemanufacturersrecommendationsandareaffectedbythemethod ofapplication,thepropertiesofthesubstrateandtheformulation.Thesefactorsaffectmanyimportantpropertiesof thecoatingsyst

35、emsuchassoilingresistanceandgeneralappearance. Toachieveaneffectivecoatingsystem,specifiersandusersshalltakenoteofrecommendationsforapplication regardingtheuseofthecoatingmaterialsandspecialsealersand/orprimers. Careshallbetakentoapplythematerial(s)undersuitabletemperatureandhumidityconditionsandtoo

36、bserve recommendeddryingtimesandovercoatingintervals. Thecoatingshallberecoatableatleastbythesamecoatingmaterial. Fullinformationshouldbeprovidedinsuppliersdatasheets.
