30、10204).HardnesstestsinaccordancewithEN100031shallbeperformedon20%ofthecomponentsunder testinordertoconfirmthetypeofmaterialdeclaredinthe3.1.Bcertificate. If3.1.Bcertificatesarenotavailable,yieldstrength,tensilestrengthandfractureelongationshallbecheckedin tensiletestsofrelevantmaterialsinaccordancew

31、ithEN100021. 7.3 Testprocedureforstrutswithvariablelengthadjustment 7.3.1 Principle Thestrutsamplesarelocatedinthetestapparatusandforceapplieduntilfailureoccurs.Loadanddeflectiondata isrecordedduringthetesttoenablecharacteristiccompressiveresistancetobedeterminedfromstatistical analysis. 7.3.2 Appar

32、atus Thetestapparatuscanbeanycalibrateduniversalhydraulictestingmachineofappropriatedimensionscapableof deliveringinexcessofthepredictedfailureforce. 7.3.3 Procedure a) Priortoanytest,aforceequaltotheestimatedcharacteristicresistancedividedby2shallbeappliedandthen removedinordertobeddownthetestspeci

33、menontotheendplatesofthetestapparatus. b) Ideallystrutsshouldbemountedhorizontallyinthetestapparatus,andplacedontheappropriatesectionsof panelsoldiersorsliderails. c) Wherestrutsaretestedinverticalposition,ahorizontalforcerepresentinghalftheweightofthestrutshallbe appliedinthecentreofthestrutbeforea

34、ndduringthetest. d) Foreachstrutlength,aminimumofthreeseparatetestsshallbecarriedout.Forstrutswithmorethanfour extensionsbarsaminimumofthreeseparatetestsforfourdifferentlengthsshallbeconducted.Testsshallbe conductedonthelongestandtheshorteststrutlengths.Whereonlyonecharacteristicstrutresistancefora

35、systemisdeclaredthetestsshallbecarriedoutonthelongeststrutlengthonly. e) Structuraltestsshallbecarriedoutwiththethreadedbarsextendedtotheirmaximumlength,anymoving partsbeingturnedbackbyaquarterofaturn.Nutsshallbeplacedinthemostunfavourablepositioninwhich theycanbeusedinthestruts. f) Onlyfastenersand
