31、gth andthetensileelongationarebothdetermined. 6.2Procedure 6.2.1 Adjustthetensiletestingmachine(4.1)sothatthejawsare100mm1mmapart. 6.2.2 Insertoneendofatestspecimenineachofthejawsofthetensiletestingmachineandclampit 1 ,sothat thelines(see5.4)arealignedwiththeclampingedgesofthejaws,thetestspecimenisn
32、eithertautnorslack,a similarareaofthetestspecimenisclampedineachjaw. 6.2.3 Operatethetensiletestingmachinesothatthejawsseparateataspeedof100mm/min5mm/min. 6.2.4 Stopthemachinewhenthetestspecimenfailsandexaminethetypeoffailureandthealignmentofthe lines(see5.4)withtheclampingedgesofthejaws.Ifanytestsp
