It supersedes BS EN 14509:2006 which is withdrawn.EN 14509:2013 is a candidate “har

2、monized” European Standard and fullytakes into account the requirements of the European Commission mandates M/121, Internal and external wall and ceiling finishes, andM/122, Roof coverings, roof lights, roof windows and ancillary products,given under the EU Construction Products Directive (89/106/EE

3、C), and isintended to lead to CE marking. The date of applicability of EN 14509:2013as a “harmonized” European Standard, i.e. the date after which thisStandard may be used for CE marking purposes, is subject to an announcement in the Official Journal of the European Communities.EN 14509:2013 is the

4、subject of transitional arrangements agreed underthe European Commission mandate. The Member States have agreed anominal transition period of twelve months for the co-existence of EN14509:2013 and its corresponding national standard(s). At the end of thisco-existence period, the national standard(s)

5、 will be withdrawn.Additional information: design combination coefficients and safety factorsThe UK applies specific design combination coefficients and safety factorsto take into account the weather conditions and loadings relevant to theUK. 28、) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 128 “Roof covering products for discontinuous laying and products for wall cladding”, the secretariat of which is held by NBN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by e

29、ndorsement, at the latest by April 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by October 2014. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and/or CENELEC shall not be held responsible for ide

30、ntifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 14509:2006. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s). 31、s), see informative Annex ZA, which is an integral part of this document. Annex F provides details of significant technical changes between this European Standard and the previous edition. Data obtained from earlier tests in accordance to EN 14509:2006 may be used without the need for further testin
