BS EN 15817:2011EN 15817:2011 (E) 4 1 Scope This European Standard specifies a procedure for determining the water resistance of polymer modified bituminous thick coatings for waterproofing. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the applic

17、 Standard atmospheres for conditioning and/or testing Specifications 3 Terms und definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in FprEN 15814:2011 apply. 4 Principle After preparing a flexible sheet of polymer modified bitumen-emulsion, the specimen is given in water
18、 with a room temperature for 28 days. After that time a visual assessment is due. 5 Apparatus 5.1 Glass beaker containing 2,5 l tap water; dimensions of sample not less than 90 mm 250 mm. Position the sample such that 2/3 of the sample is immersed in the water and 1/3 is not immersed. The sample is
19、suspended in the middle of the beaker so that it is surrounded by water on all sides. 5.2 Magnetic stirrer 6 Procedure 6.1 Preparation The component of the polymer bitumen-emulsion shall be conditioned in a normal climate of (23 2) C and a relative humidity of (50 5) % in accordance with ISO 554 for
20、 28 days. To provide the specified dry layer thickness, (4 0,4) mm, the wet coating has to be levelled off with the help of a frame or gauge of a foil at room temperature as specified by the manufacturer. 21、red, the inlay has to be incorporated. 6.2 Procedure After storage in a normal climate, the specimen shall be placed in the container with water for 28 days. During that time the water should be permanently slightly moved with the help of a magnetic stirrer. 7 Expression of results After 28 days a v
22、isual assessment is to be done, whether there are changes to the material, the reinforcement has peeled off or a discoloration of the water. 8 Test report The test report shall include at least the following information: a) all details necessary to identify the product tested; b) a reference to this
23、 European Standard (i.e. EN 15817); c) test period and thickness of the dry product; d) visual assessment after the test period; e) the date of the tests.
