8、ared under the direction of the General Mechanical Engineering Standards Policy Committee and is the English language version of EN 22340:1992 Clevis pins without head, published by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). It is identical with ISO2340:1986, published by the International Or

9、ganization for Standardization (ISO). EN 22340:1992 was produced as a result of international discussion in which the UK took an active part. This British Standard supersedes BS 5893:1980 which was identical to ISO2340:1972 and has been withdrawn in accordance with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulatio

10、ns. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. 17、ittee CEN/TC 185 “Threaded and non threaded mechanical fasteners and accessories” the secretariat of which is held by DIN decided to submit the International Standard ISO 2340:1986 “Clevis pins without head” to the formal vote procedure. The result was positive. In the countries bound to implement t

18、his European Standard a national standard identical to this European Standard shall be published at the latest by 1993-01-31 and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by 1993-01-31. Surface finish Plain, i.e. pins to be supplied in natural finish treated with a rust-preventative lubricant, unless otherwise specified by agreement between customer and supplier. Preferred coatings are black oxide, phosphate coating or zinc plating with chromate con

30、version coating (see ISO 2081 and ISO 4520). Other coatings as agreed between customer and supplier. All tolerances shall apply prior to the application of a plating or coating. Workmanship Parts shall be uniform in quality and free of irregularities or detrimental defects. No burrs shall appear on

31、any part of the pin.
