6、Annex A and Figure A.1 for reproducible tests ? Interpretation: Yes, because this will allow stable and reproducible test results, which is not guaranteed while using the AlNiCo magnet due to the nature of the magnet material. Furthermore, the test magnet described below allows a high-level degree o

7、f backward compatibility for already tested products, while it gives the stability required. Therefore, when the NeoDym magnet is used for test purposes (for test houses and manufacturers), the text below may be used in place of Annex A. 9、thin 180s of the power supply reaching itsnominal voltage as specified by the manufacturer.4.3.3 Self tests4.3.3.1 Local self testThe detector shall automatically test itself at least once every24 h according to the requirements of Tables1 and 2. If normal operation of the detectoris inhibited durin

10、g a local self-test, the detectorinhibition time shall be limited to a maximum of 30 s in any period of 2 h.4.3.3.2 Remote self testA detector shall process remote self tests and generate signals or messages in accordance withTables1 and 2 within 10 s of the remote self test signal being received, a

11、nd shall return to normal operation within 30 s of the remote test signal being received.4.4Immunityofthe individual technologies to incorrect operationThe detector shall be considered to have sufficient immunity to incorrect operation if the followingrequirements have been met. No intrusion signal

12、or message shall be generated during the tests.4.4.1 Immunity to air flowThe PIR component of the detector shall not generate any signal or message when air is blown overthe face of the detector.BS EN 50131-2-5:2008 11 EN 50131-2-5:20084.4.2 Immunity to visible and near infrared radiationThe PIR com

13、ponent of the detector shall not generate any signal or message when a car headlamp is swept across the frontwindow or lens through two panes of glass. 4.4.3Immunity to ultrasonic signal interference by extraneous sound sourcesThe ultrasonic component of the combined detector shall not generate an i

14、ntrusion signal or message due to the operation of a sound source mounted nearby.4.5 Tamper securityTamper security requirements for each grade of detector are shown in Table 4.4.5.1Resistance to and detection of unauthorised access to components and means of adjustmentAll components, means of adjus

15、tment and access to mounting screws, which, when interfered with,could adverselyaffect the operation of the detector, shall be located within the detector housing.Suchaccess shall require the use of an appropriate tool and depending on the grade as specified in Table 4shall generate a tamper signal

16、or message before access can be gained.It shall not be possible to gain such access without generating a tamper signal or message or causingvisible damage.4.5.2Detection of removal from the mounting surfaceA tamper signal or message shall be generated if the detector is removed from its mounting sur

17、face, inaccordance with Table 4.4.5.3 Resistance to, or detection of, re-orientationWhen the torque given in Table 4 is applied to the detector it shall not rotate more than 5.Alternatively, when the torque given in Table 4 is applied, a tamper signal or message shall begenerated before the detector

18、 has rotated by 5.4.5.4 Immunity to magnetic field interferenceIt shall not be possible to inhibit any signals ormessages with a magnet of grade dependenceaccording to Table 4. The magnet types shall be as described in Annex A.4.5.5 Detection of maskingMeans shall be provided to detect inhibition of

19、 the operation of the detectorbymasking according tothe requirements of Table 4.The maximum response time for the masking detection device shall be 180 s. Masking shall besignalled according to the requirements ofTable 2. The signals or messages shall remain for at leastas long as the masking condit

20、ion ispresent. A masking signal or message shall not be reset while themasking condition is still present. Alternatively the masking signal or message shall be generatedagain within 180 sof being reset if the masking condition is still present.NOTE From a system design point of view itwould be prefe

21、rable for masked detectors to automatically reset after the masking condition is removed.No masking signal or message shall be generated bynormal human movement at 1 ms-1at a distanceequal to or greater than 1 m.For detectorswhere detection of masking maybe remotely disabled the detection of masking

22、 shalloperate when the I it isnotrequired to operate when the Ib) the manufacturers diagram of the detector and its claimed detection boundaryshowing top and side elevations at 2,0 m mounting height or at a height specified by the manufacturer,superimposed upon a scaled 2 m squared grid. The size of

23、 the grid shall be directly related to thesize of the claimed detection boundary;c) the recommended mounting height, and the effect of changes to it on the claimed detectionboundary;d) the effect of adjustable controls on the detectors performance or on the claimed detectionboundary including at lea

24、st the minimum and maximumsettings;e) anydisallowed field adjustable control settings or combinations of these;f) any specific settings needed to meet the requirements of this European Standard at the claimedgrade;g) where alignment adjustments are provided, these shall be labelled as to their funct

25、ion;BS EN 50131-2-5:2008EN 50131-2-5:2008 14 h) a warning to the user not to obscure partially or completely the detectors field of view;i) the manufacturers quoted nominal operating voltage, and the maximum and quiescent currentconsumption at that voltage; j) any special requirements needed for det

26、ecting a significant reduction in range, where provided.6 Testing6.1 GeneralitiesThe tests are intended to be primarily concerned with verifying the correct operation of the detectortothe specification provided by the manufacturer. All the test parameters specified shall carry a generaltolerance of

27、10 % unless otherwise stated. A list of tests appears as a general test matrix in Annex B.6.2 Generaltest conditions6.2.1Standardconditions for testing The general atmospheric conditions in the measurement and tests laboratory shall be those specifiedin EN 60068-1:1994, 5.3.1, unless stated otherwis

28、e.Temperature 15 C to 35 CRelative humidity 25 % RH to 75 % RHAir pressure 86 kPa to 106 kPa6.2.2General detection testing environment and proceduresManufacturers documented instructions regarding mounting and operation shall be read and appliedto all tests.6.2.3 TestingenvironmentThe detection test

29、s require an enclosed, unobstructed and draught-free area that enables testing ofthe manufacturers claimed coverage pattern. The test area shall be large enough so as not tosignificantly affect the ultrasonic coverage pattern due to reflections.The test area walls and floor shall have a recommended

30、emissivity of at least 80 % between 8 m and14 m wavelength, at least directly behind the SWT.The temperature of the background surface immediatelybehind the SWTshall be in the range 15Cto 25 C, and shall be horizontally uniform over that area to 2C. Over the whole background area itshall be measured

31、 at ten points spread evenly throughout the coverage pattern. The averagebackground temperature is the linear average of the ten points.The default mounting height shall be 2,0 m unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.AnnexC provides example diagrams for the range of walk tests for one forma

32、t of detection pattern.Many others are possible.BS EN 50131-2-5:2008 15 EN 50131-2-5:20086.2.4 Standard walk test target6.2.4.1 GeneralitiesThe SWT shall have the physical dimensions of 1,60 m to 1,85 m in height, shall weigh 70 kg 10 kgand shall wear close-fitting clothing having a recommended emis

33、sivity of at least 80 % between 8 mand 14 m wavelength.Temperatures shall be measured at the following five points on the front of the bodyof the SWT:1. head;2. chest; 3. back of hand; 4. knee; 5. feet. Temperatures shall be measured using a non-contact thermometer or equivalent equipment, The tempe

34、rature differential at each bodypoint is measured, then weighted and averaged as detailedin D.1.There shall be a means ofcalibration and control of the desired velocity at whichthe SWT is requiredto move.NOTE The use of a simulator/robot in place of the SWT is permitted, provided that itmeets the sp

35、ecification of the SWT withregard to temperature and ultrasonic reflectivity. It is known as the simulated target. In case of conflict, a human walk test shall be the primary reference.6.2.4.2 Standard walk test target temperature differentialThe walk tests shall be performed either with an average

36、temperature differential Dtr(as calculated inD.1) of 3,5 C 20 %, or if the temperature differential is larger than 3,5 C + 20 % (4,2 C),it may beadjusted to achieve an equivalent temperature differential Dtewithin this range by one of the meansspecified in D.2.If Dtris less than 3,5 C 20 % (2,8 C),

37、novalid test is possible.If Dtris between 2,8 C and 4,2 C, no adjustment is required.6.2.5 TestingproceduresThe detector shall be mounted at a height of 2,0 m unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.The orientation shall be as specified by the manufacturer with unobstructed viewof the walk te

38、st to beperformed. The detectorshall be connected to the nominal supply voltage, and connected toequipment with a means of monitoring intrusion signals or messages. The detector shall be allowed tostabilise for 180 s. If multiple sensitivity modes such as pulse counting are available, any non-compli

39、ant modes shall be identified bythe manufacturer. All compliant modes shall be tested.6.3Basic detection testThe purpose of the basic detection test is to verify that a detector is still operational after a test or testshas/have been carried out. The basic detection test verifies only the qualitativ

40、e performance of adetector. The basic detection testis performed using the BDT.BS EN 50131-2-5:2008EN 50131-2-5:2008 16 6.3.1 Basic detection targets (BDT)The manufacturer shall provide, for testing purposes only, methods for placing either technologypermanently in a state where the other technology

41、 may cause an intrusion signal or message.The passive infrared BDT consists of a heat source with heat emission equivalent to that of a humanhand, which can be moved across the field of view ofthe detector. An informative descriptionis givenin AnnexE. The temperature of the source shall be between 3

42、,5 C and 10,0 C above thebackground.The ultrasonic BDT shall be a metal plate having equivalent ultrasonic reflectivity to that of the humanhand, which can be moved across the field of viewof the detector.BDTsmay be used separately or together.A close-in walk test may be carried out as an alternativ

43、e to using the BDT.6.3.2 PIR basic detection testActivate the ultrasonic technology; the unit shall not generate an intrusion signal ormessage. A stimulus that is similar to that produced by the SWT is applied to the detector,using the PIR BDT.Move the PIR BDT perpendicularly across the centre line

44、of the detection field at a distance of notmore than 1 m, and at a height where the manufacturer claims detection will occur.Move the PIR BDT a distance of 1 m at a velocity of 0,5 ms-1to 1,0 ms-1. The detector shall producean intrusion signal or message when exposed to an alarm stimulus both before

45、 and after beingsubjected to any test that mayadversely affect its performance. 6.3.3 Ultrasonic basic detection testActivate the passive infrared technology; the unit shall not generate an intrusion signal or message.A stimulus that is similar to that produced by the SWT is applied to the detector

46、using the ultrasonicBDT. Move the ultrasonic BDT along the centre line of the detection field from a distance of 2 m to a distance of 1 mfrom the detector, at a height where the manufacturer claims detection will occur.The ultrasonic BDT is to be moved a distance of 1 m at a velocity of 0,5ms-1to 1,

47、0 ms-1. The detectorshall produce an intrusion signal or message when exposed to the stimulus both before and afterbeing subjected to any testthat may adverselyaffect its performance. 6.4 Walk testing6.4.1 General walk test methodWalk testing is accomplished by the controlled movement of a SWT acros

48、s the field of view of the detector. The grade dependent velocities and attitudes to be used by the SWT are specified inTable 3. The tolerance of these velocities shall be better than 10 %. The SWT begins and ends awalk with feet together. AnnexF is an informative description of two systems that may

49、 be used tocontrol and monitor the desired velocity.6.4.2Verification of detection performanceThe general test conditions of 6.2.1, 6.2.2 and 6.2.3 shall apply to all tests in this series.Detection performance shall be tested against the manufacturers documented claims. Example walktest diagrams are shown in Annex C.BS EN 50131-2-5:2008 17 EN 50131-2-5:2008Anyvariable controls shall be set to the values recommended by the manufacturer to achieve theclaimed performance.
