The text of the draft was submitted to the Unique Accep

14、tance Procedure and was approved by CENELEC as EN 50377-3-1 on 2007-12-01. This European Standard supersedes EN 50377-3-1:2001. This document is updated to include the performance of the adaptor, and patch cord next to the pigtailed connector as defined in the previous version. It also includes late

15、st attenuation and return loss grades as specified in IEC. 38、.1 Sample size For the purposes of this specification, a sample is defined as a mated plug and socket. All samples shall be randomly selected. The sample size and product sourcing requirements are given in Annex A. The length of cable (or fibre) on each side of the connector set shall be 3,0 m minim

39、um. BS EN 50377-3-1:2008EN 50377-3-1:2008 - 18 - 6.2 Test and measurement methods All tests and measurements have been selected from EN 61300. Unless otherwise stated in the individual test details all attenuation measurements shall be performed at both 850 nm 30 nm and 1 300 nm 30 nm, all return lo

40、ss measurements shall be performed at 1 300 nm 30 nm. Attenuation change is defined as the difference between the maximum and minimum values of attenuation measured during the test. No deviation from the specified test method is allowed. 6.3 Test sequence All products shall be subjected to Tests 1 a

41、nd 2 following which there is no defined sequence in which Tests 3 12 must be run. 6.4 Pass/fail criteria A product will have met the requirements of this specification provided no failures occur in the sample group for any test. In the event of a failure occurring, the test shall be re run using a

42、sample size double that of the original. 7 Test report A fully documented test report and supporting data shall be prepared and must be available for inspection as evidence that the tests described in Clause 8 have been carried out in accordance with this specification. 8 Testing requirements 8.1 Di

43、mensional requirements Dimensions of the product shall be in accordance with the requirements of Clause 5. Endface geometry shall be measured before and after the completion of climatic testing and shall meet the requirements as stated in 5.2.2 and 5.2.4. The method to be used is EN 61300-3-37. BS E
