(formerly PELA) and the English language version of EN 60276 : 1996 Definitions and nomenclature for carbon br

3、ushes, brush-holders, commutators and slip-rings published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). It is identical with IEC 276 : 1968, incorporating amendment 1 : 1987 pubiished by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It supersedes appendix A of BS

4、4362 : Section Ai : 1968. The remainder of BS 4362 : Section Al : 1968 has been superseded by Part 147 of BS 4999 Specification for dimensions of brushes and brush-hoiders for electrical machinery, and is now withdrawn. Annex A contains text which is identical with Amendment No. 1 to IEC 276 publish

5、ed in 1987, and which gives revised defmitions for the symbols used in clauses 102, 103 and 104, revised iuustrations for these three clauses and also other examples of the use of the symbols. In the main text attention is drawn to annex A by means of an asterisk in the margin. Part 147 of BS 4999 r

6、eferred to previously is identical with IEC Publication 136 : 1986 Dimensions of brushes and brush- holders for electrical machinery. II It has been decided, for ease of reproduction in the main text, to give the terns in ail nine languages, as in IEC Publication 276. Terminology and conventions. Th

7、e text of the international standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards. Additional information. In addition to IEC Publications 136 and 276 there are a

8、 number of other IEC Publications dealing with brushes, brush-holders, commutators and slip-rings which are not so widely used as to warrant publication as British Standards, but which are, nevertheless, useful for reference purposes. A list of these IEC Publications is given in national appendix X.
