21、andard contains one of the sheets comprising Part 3: Sheet 8: Mica paper tapes for flame-resistant security cables.“1 ScopeThis International Standard specifies the requirements for an electrical insulating material containing mica paper with glass fabric or plastic film and impregnated with a suita

22、ble resin. The material is supplied in a flexible state. It may be supplied in the form of sheets or rolls. The product is designed for use in cables capable of operating after a fire.This specification covers material having a nominal thickness from 0,05 mm to 0,15 mm.Materials which conform to thi

23、s specification meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of a material for a specific application should be based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not based on this specification alone.!Safety warning It is the responsibility

39、ation and particularly the flame resistance characteristics.5 Requirements: composition and tolerances!When tested by the method of Clause 7 of IEC 60371-2, the composition of the products shall lie within the limits of Table 1 to Table 4 for the appropriate grade of mica paper.“6 Requirements of ma

40、terial (as received)6.1 GeneralAll materials in any one consignment shall have the same properties, within the limits of this specification, throughout the length of each roll.The surfaces shall be uniform and free from defects such as bubbles, pin-holes, creases and flaws.Material supplied in rolls

41、 shall be capable of being unrolled continuously without damage, and the force required to unroll the material shall be substantially uniform.Unless otherwise specified in the purchase contract, the material shall be rolled with the mica surface on the outside.6.2 WidthThe maximum trimmed width of f

42、ull width material and sheet normally available is 1 000 mm.The tolerance on the width of the material shall be as in Table 5.
