20、s part of IEC 60512, when required by the detail specification, is used for testing electromechanical components within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. The object of this test is to define a standard te
21、st method to verify that gas-tight areas have been formed between wrapped wire and the post of a wrapped connection. 23、men The specimen shall consist of a wrapped post cut off from the component, bearing a conventional or modified solderless wrapped connection, as specified in the detail specification. 2.2 Preconditioning Preconditioning shall be of at least 1 h, unless otherwise specified in the detail specificatio
24、n. 3 Test method The specimen shall be subjected to an atmosphere which will discolour the exposed areas of both wire and post. The discoloration shall be sufficient to give a sharp contrast in colour between the exposed areas and the gas-tight areas. After the conditioning, the wire shall be carefu

The specimen is suspended for 10 min in a closed test tube of approximately 15 mm 150 mm containing approximately 1 cm 3of a solution of aqua regia (50 % nitric acid and 50 % hydro
26、chloric acid). The solution shall not touch the specimen. The specimen is then transferred to a second closed test tube of approximately the same dimensions, containing approximately 1 cm 3of a solution of concentrated ammonium sulphide. The solution shall not touch the specimen. The specimen remain
27、s exposed to this atmosphere until the visible part of the post blackens. 3.1 Final measurement The specimen shall be carefully unwrapped and both the wrapped post and the wire shall be subjected to the following test: Visual examination: IEC 60512-1-1, Test 1a, with optical magnification of 5 to 20
28、 . 3.2 Requirements The solderless wrapped connection shall, for each turn except the first and last turns, exhibit a gas-tight area on at least 75 % of the areas in contact with the uninsulated wire. The gas-tight areas will appear in bright, sharp contrast to those areas which have become discolou
29、red as a result of exposure to the test environment. 4 Details to be specified When this test is required by the detail specification, the following details shall be specified: a) details of the specimen; b) number of specimens to be tested; c) any deviation from the standard test method. _ Page4 EN
