22、t This section of IEC 60512-14, when required by the detail specification, is used for testing electromechanical components within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used for similar components when specified in a detail specification. This section of IEC 60512-14 defines
23、 a standard test method to assess the effects of impacting water or specified fluid on electrical connecting devices. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this section of IEC 60512-14. At the time
24、of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All normative documents are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this section of IEC 60512-14 are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. Amendment 1 (1994) 3 Preparation of the specimen The specimen shall be equipped with normal accessories as specified and shall be wired and mounted according to the detail spe
27、cification. The operated condition of the specimen shall be specified by the detail specification. 4 Test method 4.1 Initial measurements The specimen shall be subjected to the following test: insulation resistance, test 3a of IEC 60512-2. 4.2 Conditioning The test shall be conducted according to IE
28、C 60068-2-18, method Rb 2.1: oscillating tube variant, with the following severities (unless otherwise specified in the detail specification): Rotating the specimen with the tube fixed is preferred. The turntable on which the component is placed shall be rotated at a rate of 0,5rpm to 1,5rpm. The te
29、st is carried out with fresh tap water of good quality, unless the use of another fluid is specified in the detail specification. The specimen shall be exposed to the impacting fluid for 10min. 4.3 Final measurements Measurements shall be started within 5min of conditioning completion (see test 3a o
30、f IEC 60512-2: insulation resistance). Prior to this measurements, the specimen shall not be operated or parts removed. 4.4 Requirements The insulation resistance shall not be less than that specified in the detail specification. 5 Details to be specified When this test is required by the detail spe
31、cification, the following details shall be specified: a) number of specimens to be tested; b) preparation of specimens, accessories and number of contacts to be wired; c) type and dimensions of wires/cables, when applicable; d) duration, if other than 10min; e) composition of the fluid; f) insulatio
