The standard will comprise the following parts: Part 1: Definitions,

22、 classification and general requirements; Part 2: Methods of test; Part 3: Specifications for individual materials. 1 General 1.1 Scope This part of IEC1067 specifies requirements for loomstate, continuous filament tapes woven on conventional or shuttleless looms from either glass fibres or a combin

23、ation of glass and polyester fibres. The ranges of nominal sizes covered by this standard are: 1.2 Normative reference The following standard contains provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part of IEC1067. At the time of publication, the edition indicated wa

All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreement based on this part of IEC1067 are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent edition of the standard indicated below. 29、so known as the median. 3 Classification Tapes are classified in three types as defined below: Type 1 Tapes woven on shuttle looms with glass fibres in both warp and weft directions. Type 2 Tapes woven on shuttleless looms with glass fibres in both warp and weft directions. Type 3 Tapes woven on shu

30、ttleless looms with glass fibres in the warp direction and polyester fibres in the weft direction. Type1 tapes are further classified and identified by a number representing the nominal thickness in hundredths of a millimetre followed by a hyphen and a number indicating the type of construction avai

31、lable within the same nominal thickness group. Thus, the designation “Type1, tape 20-3” indicates a type1 tape of nominal thickness0,20mm having a medium closeness of weave obtained by the use of the warp and weft constructional details specified in Part3. See4.4. NOTEThe indication of the comparati

32、ve closeness of the weave is intended to facilitate the selection of tapes from a thickness group and as a guide when considering such factors as varnish impregnation. width: 10 mm to 50 mm, thickness: 0,05 mm to 0,40 mm. 33、97 4 BSI 04-2000 4 General requirements 4.1 Construction The glass yarns used shall be continuous filament glass fibres containing not more than1% of alkali calculated as sodium oxide 1) . The polyester yarns shall be continuous filament polyethylene terephthalate (PETP) and shall be heat set. The t

34、apes are in a woven state and shall not be pressed (or calendered). For type1 tapes, the weave shall be plain with true selvedges which shall be uniform. For types2 and3 tapes, the picks shall be interlocked at or near the selvedge opposite the one from which the weft is inserted, thus preventing un

35、ravelling of the selvedge during use. If a locking thread, which may be of organic material, is used, the method of interlacing shall be such that the thread cannot be pulled out of the body of the tape. Tapes shall be identified according to type and nominal thickness as follows: Type 1 A single co

36、loured glass warp thread positioned so as to indicate the centre line of the tape. Type 2 Two coloured glass warp threads close together and positioned so as to indicate the centre line of the tape. Tape 3 Three coloured glass warp threads close together and positioned so as to indicate the centre l

37、ine of the tape. Coloured threads shall be used to indicate the thickness, as shown inTable 1 and the colours shall be a reasonable match with those specified in IEC304. Table 1 Colour code/thickness 4.2 Thickness The nominal thickness measured between the selvedges of a tape shall be one of the val

38、ues given inTable 1 and the thickness as determined by the method given inPart 2 shall not fall outside the limits given inTable 1. The thickness, when measured at the selvedges, shall not exceed the thickness between the selvedges by more than0,02mm for type1 or0,03mm for types2 and3. 4.3 Width The

39、 nominal widths of tapes are specified in Table 2. Table 2 Nominal width The width as determined in accordance with the method given in Part2 shall not differ from that specified by more than: 1,0mm for nominal widths up to and including25mm, 1,5mm for nominal widths over25mm. 4.4 Requirements for r

40、olls The tape shall be wound on a hard tubular core with sufficient tension to form a compact roll but without deforming the construction of the tape. The internal diameter of the core shall be not less than 10mm and not more than13mm and its width shall be approximately the same as the width of the

41、 tape but shall not exceed it. An alternative individual core having a diameter of55mm is also permitted. NOTEThe length of tape in a roll is not a requirement of this standard but it is normally 50m. For types2 and3 the tapes shall be wound in an anti-clockwise spiral when the roll is viewed from t

In any consignment, not more than

44、20% of type1tapes shall have any join and not more than10% of types2 and3 tapes shall have any join. Where a join occurs, the tape ends shall be butted and joined up by a strip of coloured gummed tape which shall show on the edge of the roll to indicate the presence of a join. Pins or other metal fa

45、steners shall not be used for securing the ends of rolls or for joining the tape. 4.5 Marking In addition to the identification of the type and thickness of tape as specified in4.1 the following information shall be marked legibly either on individually packed rolls or on packages or on both. a) the

46、 number of this standard; b) the designation of the type as specified in clause3; c) the nominal thickness of the tape in1/100ths of a millimetre; in case of type1 tapes a hyphen should follow the nominal thickness and this shall be followed by the number (see clause3) indicating the type constructi

47、on within the nominal thickness group (e.g.20-3); d) the width of the tape in millimetres; e) the length of the roll in metres; f) in the case of a package the number of rolls.
