17、 not the International Standard IEC1119-6:1992 could be accepted without textual changes, has shown that no common modifications were necessary for the acceptance as a European Standard. The reference document was submitted to the CENELEC members for formal vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN6111

20、1119 is applicable to the Digital Audio Tape (DAT) cassette system for consumer applications. It states the requirements for the recording function with digital audio interface signals and for digital output signals on DAT recorders. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain p

24、(inpreparation). 3 Technical requirements 3.1 Digital output signals 3.1.1 Category code The recorder shall provide the category code in the channel status bits of the digital output signal. The category code shall be applied in the digital output signal as follows, in accordance with the status of
25、sub-code ID6 in the main ID of the main data area. 3.1.2 Copyright status bit The recorder shall provide the copyright status bit in the channel status bits of the digital output signal. The copyright status bit shall be applied in the digital output signal as follows, in accordance with the status
26、of sub-code ID6 in the main ID of the main data area: 3.2 Recording functions 3.2.1 This part applies to DAT recorders if “bit0” and “bit1” of the channel status bits are“00”. However, recording is inhibited if “bit0” and “bit1” are“10”,“01” or“11”. 3.2.2 ID6 shall be recorded with“10” for digital i
27、nput signals without category code information, e.g.without channel status bits or with an undefined category code, independently of the status of the copyright status bit or the L bit of the category code (see Annex A). 3.2.3 For digital input signals originating from an analogue/digital converter
28、with category code “analogue/digital converter”(01100XXL), or originating from other sources, such as digital broadcasting receivers and analogue/digital converters with category code “general”(00000000), ID6 shall be recorded with“11” on the tape, independently of the status of the copyright status
29、 bit or the category code L bit. This requirement shall not be applied to the analogue/digital converters of the type specified in3.2.4. NOTEThe digital input signal specified in this subclause does not contain the source information of the original signal before digitization. The analogue digital c
30、onverter is of a type which does not deliver source information. 3.2.4 For digital input signals originating from an analogue/digital converter with category code “analogue/digital converter”(01101XXL), which can deliver original source information on the copy status even if the source is in analogu
31、e domain, the requirement stated in3.2.3 shall not be applied. The white list in Annex A includes these category codes. 3.2.5 For digital input signals with a copyright status bit set for “not copyright protected”(1),ID6 shall be recorded with“00” on the tape, except for the cases specified in3.2.2
32、and3.2.3. 3.2.6 Digital input signals with a copyright status bit set for “copyright protected”(0) shall not be recorded on the tape, except for the cases specified in3.2.2, 3.2.3 and3.2.7. In this case, ID6 shall be recorded with“10” on the tape. 3.2.8 Recording shall not be possible for digital input signals with a copyright status bit set to alternate between “copyright protected” and “not copyright protected” when one of the category cod
35、es is a compact disc digital audio signal(10000000). (The frequency of the alternation4Hz to10Hz is under consideration). 3.2.9 Commercially released prerecorded DAT tapes shall record“11” or“00” in ID6 on the tape. 3.2.10 The condition“01” in ID6 is not to be used. 3.2.11 Category codes and copyrig
