The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted by Technical Committee PEL/21, Secondary cells and batteries, to Subcommittee PEL/21/1, Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline and other non-acidic electrolytes, which has t

4、he responsibility to: aid enquirers to understand the text; present to the responsible international/European committee any enquiries on the interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the UK interests informed; monitor related international and European developments and promulgate them in the

20、arge currents have traditionally been expressed as fractions or multiples of C, where C is the rated capacity of the cell or battery in ampere hours (Ah). Objections have been raised that to divide or multiply C results in a fraction or multiple of Ah and it is therefore mathematically incorrect to

21、express current amperes (A) in this way. 1 Scope This International Standard applies to secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes. It proposes a mathematically correct method of current designation which shall be used in future secondary cell and battery standa

22、rds. 2 Method of designation The reference test current as specified in the various test methods detailed in a standard shall be expressed as: where All charge and discharge currents shall then be expressed as fractions or multiples of I t . The value of n used in the standard determines only the fr

23、action or multiple of I tused for the various specified purposes in that standard. For example, if n = 5, then the discharge current used to verify therated capacity shall be 0,2 I t A. If n = 1, the discharge current used to verify the rated capacity shall be 1,0 I t A. Note that the value of n use

24、d in the standard has no effect on the value of I t . The numerical value of I twill always be equal to the numerical value of C nregardless of the value of n. I t is the reference test current, in amperes; C n is the rated capacity of the cell or battery asdeclared by the manufacturer, in ampere-ho
