It defines the mechanical and electrical characteristics necessary to ensure the interchangeability of programmes, recorded as digital audio signals on magnetic tape in professiona

33、l industries. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part of IEC61595. 36、his part of IEC61595, the following definitions apply. 3.1 data flow of a digital audio tape recorder Figure 1 shows, within a block diagram, the main data flow of a DATR (digital audio tape recorder) Figure 2 shows the recording channels of a DATR Figure 3 shows the reproducing channels of a DATR F

37、igure 1 Recording channels of a DATR (digital audio tape recorder)EN61595-1:1997 6 BSI 03-2000 4 Digital encoding 4.1 Sampling frequency The sampling frequency shall be48kHz, and the accuracy of the sampling frequency at encoding shall be 50 10 6 . 4.2 Sampling timing It is recommended that all chan

38、nels are sampled simultaneously. 4.3 Quantization Each audio sample shall be quantized uniformly and be expressed in16bits, 2s complement code. Positive numbers correspond to positive analogue voltages at the input. 5 Tape speed The tape speed shall be nominal76,20cm/s (hereafter called speed I) and

39、38,10cm/s (hereafter called speed II). The tolerance on tape speeds shall be within0,2%. 40、digital audio channels The tape width shall be25,37mm (nominal25,4mm) or12,66mm (nominal12,7mm). Table 1 shows tape width and number of digital audio channels. 42、er to the right, the bottom track is designated track1, the next upper track is designated track2 and so on. Table 2 shows the assignment of magnetic tracks. If pre-emphasis is applied, the emphasis shall be used with the characteristics of a first order pre-emphasis,

47、 tracks for recording on the magnetic tape. The second item, described in12.2.3, is the definition of the synchronization pattern in recording code. The converted code is given by NRZI. The4/6M system shall be used as recording modulation method. The4/6M system is defined by dividing a binary data s

48、equence into4-bit or6-bit data segments and converting these into six-cell or nine-cell codes respectively. This system ensures no less than one and no more than six code cells “0” exist between any code cells “1” in a sequence of converted code. The conversion rule is given byTable 3. Table 3 4/6M
