36、dimensions of coil formers for transformers and inductors, using a square stack of the laminations inserted in the coil formers. The main dimensions are those permitting interchangeability with respect to conformance with core sizes and outline dimensions of the completed components. 2 Normative ref

42、 and YM 1, as prescribed in the tables of IEC 740. YEx stands for the types YEE, YEF, YEI, YEL and YES. 4 Coil former designation Coil formers shall be designated as follows: 4.1 Standard version (without terminal pins)EN61797-1:1996 6 BSI 09-1999 4.2 Printed wiring board mounting version (with term
43、inal pins) 5 Dimensions 5.1 General Typical drawings and dimensions of coil formers are listed in this standard. The coil former design may not correspond to the graphic representation shown in the figures, but the principal dimensions which have tolerances shall be followed and other details such a
44、s intermediate flanges, etc. may be arranged between the manufacturer and the user. All the listed dimensions in this standard are in millimetres. Tolerances of coil formers, except where indicated as maximum or minimum, shall comply with ISO 286-1. The appropriate tolerances are shown at the head o
45、f each column of the table of dimensions. Flange thickness should be0,4mm minimum. Length of terminal pins depends on printed wiring board thickness of1,5mm or1,6mm. 5.2 Dimensions corresponding to the core stack height In the associated standards on outline dimensions of transformers and inductors,
46、 IEC 852 series, a range of stack heights is specified, which allows continuous variations of power ratings, although the square stack is preferred. The increment of the stack height follows the R10 series of preferred numbers) 1) as a multiple of the width of that limb of the lamination which carri
47、es the total magnetic flux. A suffix letter is used to designate the appropriate stack height as shown below: If a stack height other than the preferred square stack is used for the core, and one of the other specified stack heights is chosen, the dimensions of the associated coil formers in the dir
48、ection of the stack height will differ from those given in the following tables, which apply to square stacks only.
