20、part of IEC 62011 is one of a series which deals with industrial, rigid, moulded, laminated tubes of rectangular cross-section and rods of rectangular and hexagonal cross-section based on thermosetting resins for electrical purposes. The materials are similar to those described in IEC 61212-1 but of

21、 different cross-section. This series, under the general heading Insulating materials Industrial, rigid, moulded, laminated tubes and rods of rectangular and hexagonal cross-section based on thermosetting resins for electrical purposes, consists of three parts: Part 1: Definitions, designations and

23、S Part 1: Definitions, designations and general requirements 1 Scope This part of IEC 62011 contains the definitions and designations related to, and the general requirements to be fulfilled by, industrial, rigid, moulded, laminated tubes of rectangular cross- section and rods of rectangular and hex

The moulded sections are manufactured using either phenolic or epoxy resins as the binder and using the following reinforcements: cellulosic paper, cotton cloth or glass cloth. This standard covers both rods and tubes of natural colour and those containing colouring matter or o

The finished moulding may be supplied in the as moulded state or machined to specific dimensions.

Cracks are more likely to occur in thicker cross-sections, typically for rods with cross-sectional dimensions exceeding 20 mm, or for tubes with a wall thickness exceeding 10 mm or where the ratio of the wall thickness to the internal dimensions exceed 0,

They shall be free from voids, holes and open cracks NOTE 1 Fine stress cracks are an inherent feature of certain types and sizes of tubes and rods, particularly with a paper base. Such cracks are more likely to occur

NOTE 2 Some resin concentration is permissible in the region of the mould lines and
