ThisInternat

16、ionalStandardassessesthecolourfastnessofsuchleathers underrelativelysevereconditions,usinganalkalinedetergent ,whichhas beendevelopedfortextiles.Itisnotintendedt oreplaceISO15703, LeatherTestsforcolourfastnessColourfastnesstomildwashing , whichassessesthecolourfastnessofleathertomildhandwashing. 17、detergentspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardcontainsahigh percentageofphosphate,whichmayaffectsom e leather dyes unfavourablyandwhichis,forenvironmentalreasons,reducedoreven bannedfromuseincommercialtextiledetergentsinmanycountries .But nootherinternationallyagreeddetergentisavailableanditfulfilsth

18、e purposeofthetest,whichistomeasur e the colour fastness of leather to a processthatischaracteristicfortextiles.Assoonassuchanalternative detergentisagreedoninternationally,arevisionofthismethodwillbe considered. Themethodissuitableforassessingthechangeincolouroftheleather,thestainingofan adjacenttextilefabricandanychangein

32、byadding4, 0 gofdetergent(4.4)toevery litreofwater(4.5)andstirringvigorouslyuntilnosolidsarevisible. 6.2Place100 mlofthewashingliquorand20PFTErods(4.2)inthedrum(see4.1),and warmto40 C 2 C.Placethecompositespecimeninthedrumandrotateat4 0 rpm 5rpm for30min,maintainingthetemperatureat40 C 2C. 6.3Remove

33、thewashingliquorandreplaceitwith10 0mlofwater(4.5)at40C 2C (rinsingwater).Rotatethedrumat4 0 rpm 5rpm for10min ,maintainingthetemperatureat 40C 2C.Repeatthatrinsingprocedureoncemorewithfreshrinsingwater. 6.4Removethecompositespecimenfromthedrum,placeitbetweensheetsofblotting paper,andtheblottingpape
