23、nshould: beascompleteasnecessarywithinthelimitsspecifiedbythescope; beconsistentandaccurate; takeintoaccountthestateoftheart; becomprehensibletoqualifiedpersonswhohavenotparticipatedinitspreparation; takeintoaccountoperational , safetyandmaintenanceaspectsrelatedtothetotallifecycle. NOTE Therearesom

24、ecasesinwhichperformancerequirementsmayleadtocomplicatedtestingproceduresoflong duration.Inthesecases,specifyingbydescriptionmaybenecessary.See5.2ofISO/IECDirectivesPart2,1992. 4.2Formatofafunctionalspecification The functional specification should only containrequirementsthatcanbeverified.Uniformit

25、yofstructure,styleand terminology shouldbemaintainedwithineachfunctionalspecification,andwithinanyseriesofassociatedfunctional specifications.Thesameterminologyshouldbeusedthroughout,andsynonymsshouldbeavoided. Thetitleshouldbecomposedofseparateelements,eachasshortaspossible ,proceedingfromthegeneraltothe particular.Notmorethanthefollowingthreeelementsshould beused: a) anintroductoryelementindicatingthegeneralfieldtowhichthefunctionalspecificationbelongs; b) amainelementindicatingtheprincipalsu

36、bjecttreatedwithinthatgeneralfield; c) acomplementaryelementindicatingtheparticularaspectoftheprincipalsubjectorgivingdetails which distinguishthedocumentfromanyotherfunctionalspecificationsorotherpartsofthesamefunctional specification. 5.3.2Scope Thiselementshoulddefinethesubjectmatteroftheaspect(s

37、)coveredandindicateanylimitsofapplicability. 5.3.3Normativereferences Thisoptionalelementshallgivealistofthenormativedocumentstowhichreferenceismadeinthestandardin such a way as to make them indispensable fortheapplicationofthestandard.Fordatedreferences,eachshallbe givenwithitsyearofpublication,ori

38、nthecaseofenquiryor final drafts, witha dash together witha footnote “To be published”andfulltitle.Theyearofpublicationordashshallnotbegivenforundatedreferences . 41、tionsapply“. 5.4.2 Symbolsandabbreviatedterms Thisisanoptionalelementgivingalistofsymbolsandabbreviatedtermsnecessaryforth eunderstandingofthe functionalspecification. 5.4.3Operatingenvironment Thiselementshouldprovideallinformationknowntothespecifierabouttheenvironmentinwhichtheproduct, processorse

42、rviceoperates. 5.4.4Functionalrequirements Thiselementshould definetherequiredperformanceoftheproduct,processorservice. Theserequirementsshould include: allcharacteristicsandparametersrelevanttotheperformanceoftheproduct,process orservicecoveredby thefunctionalspecification,eitherexplicitlyorbyrefer

43、ence; therequiredlimitingvaluesofquantifiablecharacteristics; thedescriptionoftheprocessinorforwhichtheproduct,processorserviceisused; handling,storageandtransportation; criticalparametersand/oraspects,ifany; anypreservativerequirement(s); theproduct,processorserviceacceptancecriteria. Acleardistinc

44、tionshouldbemadebetweenrequirements(normative)andstatementsincludedonlyfor information orguidance(informative). Contractualrequirementsconcerningclaims,coveringofexpenses,etc.shouldnotbeincluded. NOTE Wherenecessary,descriptiverequirementsmaybespecified(see4.1). 5.4.5 Boundaries,limitsandexclusions Thiselementshouldimposelimitswithwhichtheproduct,processorserviceshouldcomply.
