The work
、of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISOtechnical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has beenestablished has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental andnon-governmental,
、 in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the InternationalElectrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.The main task
、 of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standardsadopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as anInternational Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.Attention is

、es recommendations for correct selection and use of compressed gascontamination measurement methods and means.Compressed gas impurities have a mechanical, physical, chemical, and electrolytic effect on pneumatic devicesthat reduces their life and reliability. Oil impurities in contact with oxidizer
、increase equipment explosion and firehazards and have a negative biological effect when inhaled. Compressed gas impurity contamination is one ofthe normalized parameters subjected to careful monitoring to ensure reliable operation of space systemequipment as specified. This International Standard can
、 be used for modernization and maintenance of launch site equipment andtechnical complexes when other methods are difficult to apply. The equipment mentioned in this InternationalStandard is portable, compact and inexpensive.BS ISO 15860:2006blank1Space systems Gas contamination Measurement methods
