The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested

9、 in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Comm

10、ission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards adopted by the technic

11、al committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote. This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition (ISO 6 107- 1: 1996), of which it constitutes a minor revis

13、ion. ISO 6 107 consists of a series of nine parts, under the general title Water quality Vocabulary. These definitions have been formulated for technical purposes, as well as for the understanding and benefit of the non-expert in the field. Although every effort has been made

Language and expressions may not always be in line with strict scientific nomenclature. The definitions in this vocabulary are, therefore, not intended for purpos
