4、s. The Ministers Advisory Council on CGSB reviews the results of the consensus process. CGSB has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as a national standards-writing organization. The standards that it develops and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria and proc

5、edures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. In addition to standards it publishes as national standards. CGSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CGSB standards and nat

6、ional standards developed by CGSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Standards by CGSB. CGSB standards are subject to review and revision at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. S

7、uggestions for their improvement, which are always welcome, should be brought to the notice of the standards committees concerned. Changes to standards are issued either as separate amendment sheets or in new editions of standards. An up-to-date listing of CGSB standards. including details on latest

22、imes that of line posts, in terms of bending resistance. 6.8.6 6.9 COATINGS Truss Rocis - Truss rods shall have strength requirements as specified (par. 9.1). 6.9.1 Type1 6.9.1.1 Tubular steel members shall be zinc-coated inside and outside by either electrolytic or hot-dip methods. 6.9.1.2 For zinc

23、-coated tubular members, the average mass per unit area of zinc coating shall not be less than 550 g/m2 of uncoated base metal surface, as detennined from the average results of the two specimens and not less than 490 g/m2 for either of the test specimens (see par. 8.2.1). Type 2 - Tubular steel mem

24、bers shall be zinc-coated in accordance with par. 7.1 and 7.2 of ASTM F 1043. Type3 - Fabricated steel sections and truss rods shall be hot dip galvanized and shall have zinc coatings that conform to par. 6.9.1. 6.9.2 6.9.3 6.9.4 6.9.5 Truss Rods - Truss rods shall be hot dip galvanized and shall ha

25、ve zinc coatings that conform to par. 6.9.1. Zinc-Coated Barbed Wire - It shall have a minimum coating of 244 g/m2 on line wire and 183 g/m2 on barbs, as determined in accordance with ASTM A 121. 6.9.6 Aluminum-Coaed Barbed Wire - It shall have a minimum coating of 90 g/m2, as detennined in accordan

26、ce with ASTM A 428. 6.9.7 Fiings - All steel and iron fittings shall be hot dip galvanized in accordance with CSA Gl4. The average mass per unit arca of zinc coating shall be a minimum of 550 g/m2 as detmnincd in par. 8.2.1. 6.9.8 Top and Bo#om Tension We - Top and bottom tension wire shall be zinc-

27、, vinyl- or aluminumoatcd in accordance with CANKGSB-138.1 and shall have the same coating weight (or greater) as the fence fabric. 6.9.9 6.9.10 Slab zinc used for coating shall be of any grade in accordance with ASTM B 6. INSPECTION Sampling - Completed fence framework

30、 components shall be subject to inspection and testing according to requirements as specified. Sampling for this purpose shall be as specified (par. 9.1). Testing Mass per Unit Area of Zzc-Coatng - For Type 1 determine the mass per unit area of zinc-coating on fence posts, rails, truss rods and fitt

31、ings in accordance with ASTM A 90. For posts and rails use two tubular or fabricated test specimens taken from each end of one length of galvanized pipe, selected at random. Calculate the mass per unit area of the zinc-coating in grams per square metre by dividing the total mass of zinc, inside and

32、outside, by the total area, inside and outside, of the coated surface. NOTES Options - The following options must be specified in the application of this standard: a. Type and style (par. 4.1) b.
