2、AIL SPECIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH BS EN 175 200 BS CECC 75 201- 013 ISSUE 1 March I999 Page 1 of 32 MANUFACTURERS TYPE NUMBER RPTT SERIES SCOPE Multi-contact high density circular electrical connectors for rack and panel mounting. Environment resistant, with rear release, rear removable crimp con

3、tacts. Performance Level: (PL) I circular electrical connectors for dc and ac rack and panel mounted applications. They are primarily intended for airframe fit applications, but are suitable for general purpose use. They are environment resistant (non-barrier sealed) and scoop proof. The connectors

4、employ low force, crimp contacts which are rear insertion and rear release/removal using the appropriate tooling. Concentric coaxial, twinaxial and fibre optic contacts may also be fitted but these are not assessed by this specification. The housing (shell) and accessories are manufactured from alum

5、inium alloy with a choice of electroless nickel or olive drab chromate conversion over cadmium finishes. The floating male housing connectors 1 incorporate grounding contact spring fingers, which ensure electrical continuity between mating connectors and provide EMVRFI shielding protection. The grou

6、nding fingers make electrical contact prior to contact engagement. The design allows for +0.8mm radial alignment of the connectors. Polarization is effected by I housing keys and keyways to provide six different polarizations designated normal (N), A, B, C and D which are available in shell sizes 10

7、 to 24, three polarizations N, A and D are available in shell size 8. To ensure compliance with this specification the connectors shall contain a full complement of contacts and any unwired contact cavities shall have grommet sealing plugs installed. Connectors, when supplied with contacts, shall ha

8、ve the full complement of contacts plus one spare contact for each size used in the arrangement utilising 26 contacts or less. For arrangements utilising more than 26 contacts, two spare contacts of each size used in the arrangement shall be supplied. Spare coax or twinax contacts shall not be suppl

9、ied. Sealing plugs shall be supplied in the package, there shall be a minimum of 10% of the number of contacts, but not less than one. Wire sealing for size 8 cavities may be accomplished by the use of a separate resilient bushing. If separate resilient bushings are required, they shall be furnished
