WiththedevelopmentoffuturemobilecommunicationsystemstowardsUMTS/IMT2000thebottleneckof narrowbanddatacommunicationmightfade.Duetoitsmodularst
25、ructure,theGATSframeworkand applicationsarepreparedforthatduetoitsnetworkindependence.Thesameholdsforemerging technologiesforpositioningwhichtodayisalmostexclusivelybasedonGPS. Otherrelevantstandarddevelopmentsare,independentfromtelematics,theapplicationindependent WirelessApplicationProtocol(WAP),e
