Forallsuchservices,thedatatobedisseminated,andthem

21、essagestructureinvolvedinthevarious interfaces,requirecleardefinitionandstandardsformatsinordertoallowcompetitiveproductstooperate withanyreceiveddata. ThisCEN/TSfocusesonanapplicationdataspecificationwherebydataisproducedatacentrallocationand isdisseminatedviaacellularradionetwork.Itaddressesthedat

24、fore,thosedetaileddefinitionsaregiveninanetworkspecificpart (CEN/TS148218).WiththedevelopmentoffuturemobilecommunicationsystemstowardsUMTS/IMT2000 thebottleneckofnarrowbanddatacommunicationmightfade.Duetoitsmodularstructure,theGATS frameworkandapplicationsarepreparedforthatduetoitsnetworkindependenc

25、e.Thesameholdsfor emergingtechnologiesforpositioningwhichtodayisalmostexclusivelybasedonGPS. Otherrelevantstandarddevelopmentsare,independentfromtelematics,theapplicationindependent WirelessApplicationProtocol(WAP),enablingmobileaccesstotheInternet.Itisunderstoodthatthese emergingtechnologiesmightfi
