3、nel arrangements in order to make the most effective use of the spectrum available, that digital systems with a capacity of up to 4 x 140 MbiVs or the equivalent synchronous digital hierarchy bit rates seem to be feasible, that there exists within the ITU-R the Recommendation F.387 which gives chann

4、el arrangements for this band, that the main channel plan in ITU-R Recommendation F.387-6 extends beyond the limits of this band, noting 1. that ITU Radio Regulation 8 Footnote 833 states that ail emissions in the band 10.68 - 10.7 GHz are prohibited except for those provided for by Radio Regulation

5、 8 Footnote 834, recommends 1. that for future allocations in the 10.7 - 11.7 GHz band, the preferred radio frequency channel arrangement for digital radio relay systems with a capacity of 140 MbiVs, 155 MbiVs or 622 MbiVs, and operating in the 11 GHz band should be derived as follows: let fo be the

6、 frequency of the centre of the band of frequencies occupied (MHz); and fn be the centre frequency of a radio frequency channel in the lower half of the band (MHz); and f be the centre frequency of a radio frequency channel in the upper half of the band (MHZ); then the frequencies (MHz) of individua

7、l channels are expressed by the following relationships: Jhwer half of the band Upper half of band f, = (fo - 505 + 40 n) MHz f,= (fo + 25 + 40n) MHz wheren= 1,2, 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10, or 11 as shown in Figure 1, andfo= 11 200MHz 2. that if multi-carrier transmission (Note 1) is employed, a block of n

Although there will be one carrier operating in each of these channels, the carrier frequencies will not necessarily align, for technical reasons, with the centre frequencies of the channel.
