4、 most significantly, to select and further define material from CCITT Recommendations, promote and strengthen European harmonisation, O recommends - to the members of the CEPT that they evolve their telecommunication networks towards ISDN according to the specifications given in the attached text.”

GENERAL ASPECTS Supplementary Services are used to modify or enhance a basic Bearer Service or a Teleservice to the users needs. They can only be offered as an addition to the b

6、asic services. The capabilities to support supplementary services can be implemented in the network nodes, in specialised service centers or in terminals. The operation of supplementary services should always be consistent with basic services and other supple- mentary services characteristics. The d

7、efinition and description of individual supplementary services are given in Recommendations T/SF 3 1-05, T/SF 31-06 and T/SF 31-07. The description method of supplementary services is given in Recommendation T/GSI 01-07. General Services aspects are described in Recommendation T/GSI 02-01. The defin

8、ition of Bearer Services is given in Recommendation T/GSI 02-02. The definition of attributes and possible attribute values is given in Recommendation T/GSI 01-05. 2. SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICES TO BEARER SERVICES MATRIX For those supplementary services which will be offered during phase 1 and phase 2 of

9、 the ISDN implementa- tion, the association with the individual bearer services is contained in Annex 1. A provisional association of other supplementary services with the individual bearer services is shown in Appendix 1. This appendix needs to be completed when the supplementary services are descr

10、ibed. Note 1. The following symbols have been used in Annex 1 and Appendix 1. Where more than one variant of a supplementary service exists the supplementary service family name has been used and allocated a priority of introduction. E: Indicates that the supplementary service is essential, has a hi

11、gh priority for introduction and should be made available internationally. A: Indicates that the supplementary service is identified as additional, has a lower priority for introduction and may be available in some ISDNs. It may also be available internationally. T: Supplementary services in princip

12、le may be located in either the network or in the terminal or a combination of both. The T indicates that a terminal solution is considered to have a high priority (e.g. for the supplementary services Abbreviated Address and Repeat Last Call). Note 2. The sequence of supplementary services listed in

13、 the Annex 1 reflects the sequence of introduction as proposed by the Commission of the European Communities and adopted by the European Conference of Posts and Telecommunications Administrations.
