(ERC) : ?The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations, considering a) that a Land Mobile-Satellite Service (LMSS) in Europe and Middle East will be introduced by European Telecommunications Operators end 1990, b) that LMSS systems provide interconnectio

3、n with the public switched telex network; however, this will be extended by service providers to other messaging systems including mailbox and other facilities provided through X.25, X.400 and voice-band data services, c) that the frequency bands for the LMSS in the 1.5-1.6 GHz frequency bands have

4、been allocated by the WARC- d) that it will be necessary for Administrations to have common regulations at their disposal concerning the type e) that Inmarsat-C LMSS terminals will be required to meet the standards of technical performance as described MOB-87, O approval, the marking, the use and th

5、e free circulation of Inmarsat-C LMSS terminals, in Module 4 of the Inmarsat-C System Definition Manual (SDM), recommends 1. that CEPT member Administrations will accept the Inmarsat type-testing procedures of Inmarsat-C LMSS terminals as described in Module 8, Part 1 of the Inmarsat-C System Defini

6、tion Manual (SDM) and will accept these until end 1992 as type-approval procedures, 2. that CEPT member Administrations shall not require an individual licence for the use of Inmarsat-C LMSS terminals, 3. that all CEPT member Administrations permit the free circulation and use of Inmarsat-C LMSS ter

7、minals provided: i) that the terminal has been type-tested by Inmarsat and bearing a mark in conformity with the conditions set out in Annex 1 of this Recommendation; ii) that the user is a subscriber to an authorized Inmarsat operator.? 8、7 8T9 TIR 31-02 E Page 3 Annex 1 CONDITIONS FOR MARKING OF INMARSAT-C TERMINALS COVERED BY THIS RECOMMENDATION A CEPT member Administration shall accept an easily visible and indelible identifiable mark placed on the Standard-C Terminals carrying the Inmarsat Logo and the Inmarsat type-testing certificate number in the following form : INMARSAT-C/LM/ I Edition of January 31, 1991
