3、se of kequencies in the 450 MHz band provides good penetration inside the ship, that No. 669 of the Radio Regulations provides that frequencies 457.525 MHz, 457.550 MHZ, 457.575 MHZ, 467.525 MHz, 467.550 MHz and 467.575 MHz can be used by communication stations on board a ship, that according to No.
4、 669 of the Radio Regulations, the use of these frequencies in territorial waters may be governed by the national legislation of the Administration concerned, that certain characteristics of appliances to be used are spded in Appendix 20 to the Radio Regulations, that according to No. 669 and Append
5、ix 20 to the Radio Regulations, all freqmcies allocated to on-board communication stations in the maritime mobile service can be used by relay stations, that the risk of harmful interference is greater when the same eqmcy is used by the transmitter of one relay station and by the receiver of another
6、 relay station, that it is desirable to standardise, as far as possible, the use of these frequencies at international level, that Appendix 20 to the Radio Regalations sp&es that control, telemetry and other non-voice signals shall be coded in such a manner as to minimise the possibility of false re
7、sponse to interfering signals, that with systems using non-voice signals there exists some risk of false response to interference signals since in practice it is not possible to arrive at an international co-ordination of the codes to be used, that (radio) paging systems are necessary on board ships

9、25 MHz, 457.550 MHz, 457.575 MHz, 467.525 MHz, 467.550 MHz and 467.575 MHz, that the national regulations of CEPT Member Administrations specify that on-board communication stations should be able to operate on at least 3 of the frequencies mentioned m paragraph 1. above, that the same national regu
10、lations (should) spec that frequencies 457.525 MHz, 457.550 MHz or 457.575 MHz must be used for transmissions by relay stations, that when they authorise the operation, on the fiequencies indicated in paragraph 1. above, of remote control or telemetry systems and other miscellaneous non-voice system
11、s intended for navigation or safety, CEPT Member Administrations take into account: - the serious risk which may be caused by the false response of these systems to interfering signals, - the risk that the receivers of these systems may be jammed because of signals originating from other ships, 5. t
