GENERAL Application of Recommendation That in general the requirements of this Recommendation should apply equally to LANs and ISPBXs when connected to an ISDN. Th

DEFINITION OF A SUBSCRIBER COMPLEX INSTALLATION (SCI) ISPBX An ISPBX is a PBX which may support any or all services that can be supported by ISDN basic access. A local area network is distinguished from other types of data networks in that the communica- tion is

This is in contrast to long-distance networks which interconnect offices in different parts of the country, networks which interconnect equipment in one room, or n

10、e same ISDN Supplementary Services to be available to all subscribers, it may not be possible to apply some Supplementary Services in SCIs which do not have DDI. Some examples of such services are: - completion of calls meeting busy; - network provided Supplementary Services that result in a reverte

That it should be possible to request for ISDN Supplementary Services at the commencement of, during or between basic calls as appropriate to the particular Supplementary Services. The validation of Supplementary Services against individual SCI exten

That it may be more appropriate for some Supplementary Services to be provided by the SCI (e.g. Night Busying) instead of in the public network. That additional Supplementary Service
