CGSB is engaged in the production of voluntary

4、 standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. The standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other users, retailers, governments, educational institutions, technical,

5、 professional and trade societies, and research and testing organizations. Any given standard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representatives. It is identical in content and in layout with Technical Report ISO/TR 8091, Textiles Twist factor related to the Tex System, published 1983-

31、02-15 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and is reprinted with the permission of ISO. The international report was reviewed by the CGSB committee to determine its suitability for Canadian use. It was agreed to use it in total, without editorial changes.Throughout this stand

32、ard, the words “National Standard of Canada” are to be understood as replacing the words “Technical Report” wherever they appear.Some terminology and conventions are not identical to those used in other test methods within CAN/CGSB-4.2 Textile Test Methods.
