CGSB is engaged in the produc

3、tion of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. The standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other users, retailers, governments, educational institu

The Ministers Advisory Council on CGSB reviews the results of the consensus process. CGSB has been accredited by th

The standards that it develops and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria and procedures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. in addition to standards it publishes as natio

6、nal standards, CGSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CGSB standards and national standards developed by CGSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual for th

7、e Development and Maintenance of Standards by CGSB. CGSB standards are subject to review and revision at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are always welcome, should be brought to the notice of the standards committee

29、 SCOPE 1.1 This standard applies to No. 1 exercise-book paper intended for use in writing pads, exercise books, stenographers notebooks and similar applications. * * 1.2 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be haza

The sources of these publications are shown in the Notes section. 3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Curl - The paper shall have no more than a slight curl that can be

34、readily overcome in conversion to writing pads, b exercise books, etc. 3.2 Surface Condition - The paper surface shall be free from holes, blemishes, dust, lint and other particles that may adversely affect its conversion or end use. Formation - The formation of the paper shall be close and even. *

35、3.3 3.4 Trim (Rolls) - The edges of the rolls shall be smooth, clean and even. 3.5 3.6 Splices in Rolls - The maximum number of splices per roll shall be as specified (par. 7.1). Stock - The paper stock shall normally be free from more than trace amounts (less than 1%) of unbleached or mechanical pu

36、lps except that no limitation is imposed on the amount of deinked or non-deinked bleached secondary (recycled) fibre, nor on the amount of high-yield pulps, present in the stock. 38、 Finish - The paper shall have a high machine finish. Cores (Rolls) - The paper shall be wound on a non-retwnable core which

39、 has an inside diameter and core type 7 as specified (par. 7.1). Thickness - When determined in accordance with Technical Section CPPA standard D.4, the average thickness of the paper shall be in accordance with Table 1. Individual sheets shall be uniform in thickness. The difference between the hig

40、hest and lowest thickness in the cross-machine direction shall not exceed 10 pm. Grain Direction - The grain direction, when determined in accordance with Technical Section, CPPA standard D.l, shall be as specified (par. 7.1). e b Colour - The colour of the paper shall be white, unless otherwise spe

41、cified (par. 7.1). Physical and Optical Properties - Physical and optical properties shall be in accordance with the requirements of Table 1. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY Unless otherwise specified (par. 7.1), packaging, labelling and marking shall conform to normal commercial practice. e Packing - The

42、paper shall be in moisture resistant enclosures for both sheets and rolls unless otherwise specified. (par. 7.1). INSPECTION Sampling - Sampling for inspection and testing shall be left to the discretion of the inspection authority unless a specific sampling plan is specified (par. 7.1). NOTES Optio
