39、ards issuedby CSA Group under Part II of the Canadian Electrical Code.This Standard replaces CSA TIL M-02A.Arc fault protective devices are usually embodied in combination with another device. As such, the userof this Standard will need to reference additional requirements as found in CSA C22.2 No.

40、5, CSA C22.2No. 144.1, CSA C22.2 No. 21, and CSA C22.2 No. 42 as applicable.For general information on the Standards of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II, see the Preface ofCAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 0, General Requirements Canadian Electrical Code, Part II.This Standard is considered suitable for use fo

41、r conformity assessment within the stated scope of theStandard.This Standard was prepared by the Subcommittee on Arc Fault Protective Devices under the jurisdictionof the Technical Committee on Industrial Products and the Strategic Steering Committee onRequirements for Electrical Safety, and has bee

42、n formally approved by the Technical Committee.Interpretations: The Strategic Steering Committee on Requirements for Electrical Safety has providedthe following direction for the interpretation of standards under its jurisdiction: “The literal text shall beused in judging compliance of products with

43、 the safety requirements of this Standard. When the literaltext cannot be applied to the product, such as for new materials or construction, and when a relevantcommittee interpretation has not already been published, CSAs procedures for interpretation shall befollowed to determine the intended safet
